My Summer Lust List!

I honestly can’t believe I’ve been away from blogging for over a month now! Life has been so hectic but I’m finally back.

The only good thing about taking time away from blogging is being able to try out products to review, hence: my summer lust list. It’s basically just my favourites for this month but “lust list” sounds a lot more mysterious don’t you think?!

1. Lush Sleepy body lotion

The rumours are true – this body lotion is AMAZING. I’ve heard a lot about this product but when I saw Jaclyn Hill talk about it in her most recent video I had to go out and grab it. I tried to have a bit of banter with the Lush guy about it’s popularity in the beauty blogger world but it sadly just went over his head. ANYWAY, this gets A+ for moisturising and it’s helped me so much sleep-wise due to its lavender scent. I literally just lather it on all over my body and jump into bed…and have the greatest nights sleep of all time. For £13, smooth baby bum skin and the nicest sleeps… I honestly would recommend this to everyone.

2. Garnier Summer Body moisturiser

Forget Dove, Garnier is the new tinted moisturiser in town! I used Dove’s version for years but it always went a bit streaky and to be honest never really looked natural. I think it’s always a bit of a no-no when it’s supposed to be a tinted moisturiser but you can see the brown bits of tan that have dried on the lid too (if this makes any sense to you?!). Garnier released their own version of a tinted body moisturiser and damn, it is amazing. I’ve had so many compliments about my tan and people genuinely thought I’d been to Greece for about 3 weeks – meaning it didn’t look fake at all. It smells amazing and the apricot oil means it’s super nourishing for your skin. Oh and did I say it’s not streaky and only £4? If you want a tan without having to jet off or awkwardly apply biscuity tan every night – Garnier’s your gal.

3. Bumble & Bumble BB Curl Defining Cream

I got this little sample from my most recent Birchbox and I LOVE it. I have naturally curly/wavy hair and if it dries naturally it’s always pot luck as to how it’ll turn out. Sometimes it’s a frizzy mess and sometimes I get nice ringlets…it’s a struggle. But not with this product. I just apply it to wet hair, let it air dry, and my curls always appear so smooth and frizz free. If you have hair like mine you’ll know how frustrating it is to find a good product like this! The only downside is the price – £24 for 250ml is a bit more on the expensive side but with results like this I’ll probably end up buying it anyway!

5. Lush Brazened Honey face mask

My friend recommended this to me as I was looking for a mask I could use again and again after my beloved bubble mask ran out. I spoke to a lovely Lush assistant and said I wanted a face mask to brighten my skin without making it too dry or oily. He tried this out on my hand and I was actually blown away by the results. You could totally tell which hand had the mask on and honestly I was questioning if there was any magic involved. It has fresh ingredients which is perfect for skin like mine, and every time I take it off my skin is just so smooth and glowy. At £7 it’s slightly expensive but it’s 100% worth it. Could you be in love with a face mask?

So that brings an end to my summer lust list. I hope you enjoyed my recommendations and if you have any questions please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you!

All the love x

  1. I am always a sucker for all Lush products. I feel that their body, face, and hair products get forgotten about because the world goes crazy after their bubble bars and bath bombs. One factor that always draws me to Lush is that they have really natural products made of ingredients that are actually GOOD for you! Have a lovely week dear!
